The birth anniversary of Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, former President of India, is celebrated every year on 15th October as “Reading Inspiration Day”.
Accordingly, Santosh N. Darade Polytechnic, Babhulgaon – Yeola celebrated Reading Inspiration Day with great enthusiasm on 15th October 2025.

The objective of this program was to develop the reading habit among students, inspire them towards knowledge acquisition, and encourage them to follow the ideals of Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam.

On this occasion, an online test was organized for the students. Many students participated enthusiastically in this online test.

After the completion of the test, online certificates were awarded to all the participants. This initiative helped in nurturing the habit of reading among students and contributed to their overall intellectual growth.

The event was organized by the Library Department of the institution. The Principal and faculty members guided the students about the importance of reading and motivated them to develop a regular reading habit.

The entire program was conducted successfully and with great enthusiasm.

माजी राष्ट्रपती स्व. डॉ. ए. पी. जे. अब्दुल कलाम यांचा जन्मदिन १५ ऑक्टोबर हा दिवस दरवर्षी “वाचन प्रेरणा दिन” म्हणून साजरा केला जातो. त्या अनुषंगाने संतोष एन. दराडे तंत्रनिकेतन, बाभूळगाव – येवला येथे दिनांक १५ ऑक्टोबर २०२५ रोजी वाचन प्रेरणा दिन उत्साहात साजरा करण्यात आला.
या कार्यक्रमाचा उद्देश विद्यार्थ्यांमध्ये वाचनाची आवड निर्माण करणे, ज्ञानार्जनाची प्रेरणा देणे आणि डॉ. कलाम यांच्या आदर्श व्यक्तिमत्त्वाचे अनुकरण करण्यासाठी प्रवृत्त करणे हा होता.
कार्यक्रमादरम्यान विद्यार्थ्यांसाठी ऑनलाईन पद्धतीने वाचन प्रेरणा दिन निमित्त एक टेस्ट आयोजित करण्यात आली. अनेक विद्यार्थ्यांनी या ऑनलाईन टेस्टमध्ये उत्साहाने सहभाग घेतला.
टेस्ट पूर्ण झाल्यानंतर सर्व सहभागी विद्यार्थ्यांना ऑनलाईन पद्धतीनेच प्रमाणपत्रे प्रदान करण्यात आली. या उपक्रमामुळे विद्यार्थ्यांमध्ये वाचनाची सवय जोपासली जाऊन त्यांच्यात ज्ञानवृद्धी होण्यास मदत झाली.
कार्यक्रमाचे आयोजन ग्रंथालय विभागाच्या माध्यमातून करण्यात आले. संस्थेचे प्राचार्य आणि सर्व शिक्षकवृंद यांनी विद्यार्थ्यांना वाचनाचे महत्त्व पटवून दिले आणि नियमित वाचनाची सवय लावण्यासाठी प्रोत्साहन दिले.
संपूर्ण कार्यक्रम अत्यंत उत्साहपूर्ण आणि यशस्वीरीत्या पार पडला.
